How it Works

Costs and Pricing

  • Our hire rates vary depending on the size of the building and how long you need it for. Contact us with your requirements and we'll be happy to provide a no-obligation quote.

  • Additional costs may include engaging a certified tradesperson to connect and disconnect power and plumbing services, where required. We can assist with arranging these services to make the process as straightforward as possible.

    If the caravan connection or adapter is lost or damaged this is also an additional charge of $200.

  • Delivery within the Invercargill city boundary is charged at a fixed rate. For locations outside this area, we will provide a delivery quote based on your site location.

  • A $200 bond is required when your hire begins. This is fully refundable once the building is returned in good condition, clean, tidy, and free from any damage.

    Bond also covers lost keys.

  • We issue invoices at the end of each month, followed by a statement to help you easily track your payments and see any amounts due on your rental account.

    We also welcome weekly automatic payments, which many of our customers find to be a simple and convenient way to stay on top of their account.

Delivery and Access

  • We take care of delivery for you. Our transport company uses HIAB trucks and the right equipment to safely and efficiently place your building on your site.

  • You will need a flat, firm area to place your building. Most units are designed to sit on a steel base, and we recommend that your building is properly secured once installed.

    We also require clear access to your site for delivery, and we’re happy to help assess this if you’re unsure.

  • We always endeavor the get your room to your desired site and have reached some very remote areas.

  • If our rooms are already back at our yard, they are ready to go and can be delivered to you with little to no delay.

  • If you experience any issues with your building during the hire period, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll assess the problem and arrange any necessary repairs to ensure your building remains safe and functional.

Hire Process

  • Getting started is simple. Contact us by phone or email through our website and we'll talk through your requirements to see what buildings we have available that may suit your needs.

    Once you've decided on a room, we'll send you a hire agreement to review and sign. From there, once we’ve received your signed agreement and bond payment, we'll organise delivery and have your building on its way to you.

  • When you’ve finished with your room, simply let us know and we’ll arrange collection at a convenient time.

    Before collection, you'll need to remove all personal belongings and ensure the building has been disconnected from any electrical, plumbing, or other services.

  • Yes, in most cases it is possible to extend your hire period, provided we receive enough notice. We understand that circumstances can change, so if you need your building for longer than originally planned, simply get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

End of Hire

  • Yes, we arrange the collection and return transport of your building. Once the room has been emptied and is ready for collection, we'll work with you to arrange a suitable time for pickup.

  • To ensure the full return of your bond, please make sure the building is returned in a clean and tidy condition, this is outlined more fully in your hire agreement.

    If you have hired a sleepout the caravan connection cord and adapter must be returned with the building.

    Your key must also be returned inside the building when it returns.

  • Once we have collected your room, it is clean and tidy and your final account is paid in full we will return your bond to you via your bank account.
